The Cookie Book Tag !

suntag_-the-cookie-book-tag

Hey everyone ! I’m going to be doing a happy dance for a while *woohoo* , because this is my first time getting tagged and I’m super excited now !

I was tagged by Yesha@booksteacupnreviews . She’s real amazing ! Just visit her blog and start a conversation with her and you’ll know what I’m talking about !

To Yesha : Thanks for tagging me , didu ! 🙂

Rules :

  1. In addition to linking back to the person who tagged you, it would be awesome if you link back to Nicole’s original post!
  2. Pick a book that corresponds to the cookie’s ‘theme’.
  3. Have fun!
  4. Tag one to three people.

My Q & A :

Chocolate Chip : A Classic book that you love ?

That’s a tough one ! I mean , how can I even pick one ?

A short list of my favourite classics :

  1. Silapathikaram ( a 6th century CE book in Tamil )
  2. Pride and Prejudice
  3. Sense and Sensibility
  4. Emma
  5. The Odyssey

I wish I could add more !

Thin Mints : A Hyped-Up Book You Want To Read ?

Obsidian and Stars (Ivory and Bone, #2)Obsidian and Stars by Julie Eshbaugh

This was pretty easy . Obsidian and Stars seems to be a rage and it’s everywhere I go ! And everyone’s loving it and I just can’t wait to get my copy of this one . Can someone just tell me why everyone’s loving it this much ?

Shortbread: An Author I Can’t Get Enough Of ?

The Bride (Lairds' Fiancées, #1)Julie Garwood

Julie Garwood has always been an author I’ve never gotten enough . As Dani once told me , the charm Julie used to have has vanished . But I just couldn’t pick anyone else . I have always loved Julie’s Historicals and those highlanders *swoons* .

Samoas: An Emotional Rollercoaster of A Book

Rain (A Stranger in the Woods, #1)Rain by India R. Adams

That’s a bit hard to choose one…but India is one of the best writers when it comes to emotions . She twisted and played around with my emotions until I really turned into a emotional ball . Though pretty much all her books are emotional , Rain is the best rollercoaster I’ve been on 🙂

Oreos: A Book Whose Cover Was Better Than Its Inside

Rose Petal Graves (The Lost Clan #1)Rose Petal Graves by Olivia Wildenstein

The story was nothing as amazing as the cover . I guess I might be a bit too harsh with that judgement because it was a nice book . But the story was just not up to the cover ! I mean , just look at that cover and tell me you didn’t fall in love ! You get what I mean ?

Tagalongs: A Book That Wasn’t What I Expected

Exit WestExit West by Mohsin Hamid

This book was a letdown for me . It was just not what I was expecting . I went into the book expecting a good magical realism tale and boom ! What did I get ? A love story with an odd magical portal to make the story convenient enough . Urgh , that was pretty bad .

Snickerdoodles: A Book I May Never Stop Rereading/ Loving

The WarriorThe Warrior by Nicole Jordan

While there are a lot of other books that I love as well , this one has a special place in my heart and I guess it always will ! It definitely is not a perfect book with a perfect hero , but I can tell you I love it nevertheless . Nicole Jordan has since then become one of my go-to romance authors . She just knows how to write !

That’s it !

My tags :

If you don’t do tags , that’s perfectly fine 🙂

Des@Des Random Thoughts  ( I’m tagging you a lot , but tagging you feels good lol )

Noriko@Book Fiend  ( Heya ! Your blog’s pretty awesome ! If only I had the skills )

Heather@The Hermit Librarian  ( Yo ! Another cool blog ! )

Just another question for you all : What’s the best and the worst book you’ve read ? Why?

Sorry if the other question is against the rules . I can’t resist 😛

Thanks again , Yesha di ! You’re pretty awesome ! ( ^_^ )

What am I doing now ?

I’m waiting for Mandy@ Book Princess Reviews to answer ! And I’m checking out the other cool people Yesha di tagged 🙂

What was the first book tag you did ? When was that ?

  1. FIRST TAG! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY! Be expecting another one in the next few days. 😉 And I do love Nicole Jordan’s work although I haven’t made it to the book you mentioned. I’m super going to have to get to that one. And oh no about the whole magical portal thing XD That made me crack up. Wonderful post, Harini, and super excited for all of your tags in the future!!! 😀

  2. Nice answers!

I’ll just go ahead and answer best and worst book I’ve read here…well, worst is easy, though I feel bad admitting it. Oh well. My least favorite book is The Awakening by Kate Chopin. I had to read it for two different courses in university and both times I just did not like it. Now, for best book…man there are just so many great answers for this. I’ll just go with Dreamworld by Rachel E Kelly.

Well, let’s see…I’ve done a few tag posts on my blog, but mostly they are because I thought they sounded cool so I just did them. I actually got my first tag for one of these just last week.

      1. Now I will say that Dreamworld is technically book 5 in the series, but it is written in a way that you can actually start reading with Dreamworld and then go back and read the previous four if you’d like.

      2. That sounds like a good plan . I’m a weird person who starts a lot of series in a weird order lol . And going backwards is great ☺
